Edith Whitely Guylee was a Great Auntie of my Dad's. My paternal grandmother was a Guylee and because of her I research this family line. My Dad met this Great Auntie when she and her husband came to visit my Grandparents and father in 1952 in Canada. She obviously made a huge impression upon him as he remembers her very fondly. Auntie Edith and Uncle Norman had no children of their own and so took my Dad a bit under their wing. Uncle Norman died whilst sailing around the world aboard the ship. The Captain wanted to bury him at sea but Auntie Edith protested and since they were only one day from port in South Africa, the Captain relented to her. In South Africa he was cremated and scattered there on a cliff above the ocean. As I understand, Uncle Norman was an industrialist in Sheffield. Please let me know if I can help anyone out with this family as I would be obliged to help where I can. Kind Regards, Suzanne
